Member & Supporter Survey 2026
From the Bondi tragedy and renewed calls for gun buybacks, to anti-firearm rhetoric and a hostile media environment, responsible firearm owners are facing increasing political and public pressure.
The next 12–18 months will be critical. To ensure we're focusing our efforts where they matter most, we need to hear directly from you.
Your input will help shape our advocacy priorities, campaigns, policy positions and member services as we continue fighting for the rights of law-abiding firearm owners across Australia.
In the survey we'll ask for your thoughts on:
- The affect of proposed state or territory limits on the number of firearms you can own
- The government's handling of firearms policy post Bondi
- The NFR, the proposed gun buy backs, data security and loss of ranges
- Where Shooters Union should focus it's advocacy priorities
- We'll share a summary of key results with members once it closes along with our plans for the next few months.
Please complete the survey by Saturday 20th June at 5pm, so we can include your views in our planning.
Please consider sharing this survey with your friends and family who may not be Shooters Union members so can include more people in our findings.
NOTE: The survey framework was created by our agency - Curious Minds Media at Shooters Union's request. Your responses are confidential, and no identifiable content will be shared. All responses will be combined to determine statistical results only. Your details will not be shared with any organisation other than Shooters Union.
